From Darkness to Light

Ok, call me foolish. I still don’t get it. Why can’t we understand the obvious:

SATANIC FORCES (WITCHES, BRUJOS, SATANISTS, DEMONS, ETC.) OPPRESS CHRISTIANS! And the closer to God you are, the more you try to do what He wills, the fiercer and more persistent the attacks.

Many people wonder what exactly is oppression by demons or other satanic forces. Demon oppression can be relatively simple to see or very complex to actually understand. In the Bible, in the book of Matthew chapter 16 we have the following incident recorded:

There are many stories of demon demonic possession on the internet and here are several more. What is different about these stories of demon possession and activities is that they are true. We have lived the nights of terror, of fear and unbelief, and have been witnesses to a great deliverance or exorcism if you will from the certain evil that possessed these young ladies.

The stories of demons and demonic possession should be taken very seriously.  Satan is behind these demonic activities working his plan of evil.  If you or someone you know is caught up in this type of demon interaction there is grave danger and immediate action needs to be taken.  But it may not be the action a demon possessed person wants; it certainly is… Continue reading

In a stunning turn of events (or is it?) the Church has largely turned it’s back on the importance of Satan and the topic of Demon Possession, especially in the recent past. Specifically is the question of whether or not a Christian can be demon possessed. Actually, many churches that otherwise walk the straight and narrow when it comes to following God seem to ignore the warnings given throughout the Bible concerning Satan and his demon’s, demonic practices, the counterfeiting of all things Godly, etc.

The first meeting of the From Darkness to Light Foundation took place in Panajachel, Guatemala Friday night, June 27, 2008.  There were about 15 people present and the topics discussed were related to the mission of the Foundation:  working with the community to educate them about demons and demonic activity, witches (brujps and brujas and bujeria and shaman here in Guatemala), oppression and possession by demons (including the question "can christians be possessed by evil spirits/demons?"), deliverance from or exorcism of demon possession or evil spirits.

It seems that many readers of the material on this site think it wrong to devote much time to studying the dark things, the things of Satan. Let me say here and now I understand and almost agree with them. Satan and his associates are not where we focus our efforts nor our attentions normally. But consider this. Times change and so does the plan of God. Not as in deviate from the plan, but as in deviate from our perspective of the norm. The plan of God doesn’t change; the plan of God changes times. I DO BELIEVE DEMONS EXIST

“Matthew also says the demoniacs were “exceedingly fierce.” That means they were violent. Mark 5 says that people had tried to bind them with chains, but those demoniacs broke them with their tremendous strength. The title of this post is a little misleading as even though this is Hector’s story it is told by Jim and concerns the demonic possession and subsequent exorcism or deliverance of Hector’s sister followed by the death of Hector’s brother. It is an incredible story that caused me to change my beliefs with the full understanding that God gives us these experiences so that we may fully walk in the plan he has for us. It is best summed up in my belief by the following verse:

From Darkness to Light Foundation (FDTLF) is a not-for-profit foundation established in the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala to study, discuss and understand the biblical truths concerning Satan and his related entities, their methodology and work in and among the people, both Christians and non-Christians, and the subsequent education of all peoples thereof. It was formed after a true life experience of one of its directors dealing with the possession of his sister by an evil spirit and the subsequent death of his brother. See Hector’s story here.
